Our rehearsals for Term 3 start on Thursday 24 July 2025. The highlight for this term will be performing at "Hobart Sings" on 20th September at the Farrell Centre, Friends School.
We invite anyone to come along to rehearsals, and we do not have entry requirements. All that's needed is a willingness to listen and learn and have some fun along the way.
Some of the songs we're singing this term:
Oh Helele – a folk/protest song from Timor Leste (East Timor).
My Island Home – by Neil Murray & George Burrawanga
Shosholosa – a traditional song from Africa
Jia - Traditional Fijian Celebration Song
Isa Lei – Fijian song of farewell
Mad World - Roland Orzabal
Seniors Week Event: Easy Multi-language Singing Experience
Come along and enjoy an evening of great harmonies! You are invited to attend a fun and relaxed rehearsal of Sisongke Choir led by Oliver Gathercole on the Thursday night of Seniors Week, where we will learn a song in another language.
Singing is good for your health on every level – learning words in another language is mentally stimulating!
